Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a subtle and profound healing which assists the body's natural wisdom and ability to move forward. It also helps reduce stress and anxiety and the patient often experiences greater relaxation and enjoyment in life.
Benefits of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
BCST can lead to changes in areas of restriction and discomfort, and to promote overall health. Patients often experience more energy, resilience, calmness and mental clarity. Through a series of treatments, a patient can experience greater vitality and wellbeing, an improvement in symptoms and movement away from old patterns and disease. This can lead to a renewed sense of purpose and new ways of relating to others.
In many conditions such as birth issues, accidents, illnesses and psychological stress, the root cause might be physical or emotional trauma. Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy works particularly well with these traumas, facilitating a safe resolution of shock and held experiences. These changes can have a profound effect on a person's body and mind and on how they relate with others.
Pregnancy, Mothers, Babies and Children
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy can help a woman's body adjust to the changes during pregnancy. Treatments during the term of the pregnancy can also support the new mother to approach labour with strength, confidence and vitality. Working with the mothers and babies postnatally can support recovery from the rigours of childbirth. Compressions and restrictions experienced during the birth process may lead to common infant problems such as colic, excessive crying, irritability, feeding and sleeping difficulties. BCST can help relieve these issues. Mother and baby are often treated in the same session.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy session
Treatment is generally carried out sitting or lying fully clothed on a treatment table. The therapist will make contact by placing their hands lightly on your body and tuning in to what is happening by 'listening' with their hands. As the primary orientation is towards the patient's inherent health, deep and lasting transformation can occur. Patients often become deeply relaxed during a session.
